1. Low water flow
Possible causes: 1) Insufficient water pressure (common in high-rise buildings or older residential areas). 2) The shower head or filter is clogged with scale/impurities. 3) The hose has aged or has been kinked or internally blocked.
Solutions: 1) Check the water pressure of other faucets at home. If it is generally low, consider installing a booster pump. 2) Remove the shower head and soak it in white vinegar for two hours, and then use a toothbrush to clean the spray jets. 3) Replace the aging hose to ensure smooth water flow.
2. Blocked nozzles (some jets not spraying)
Possible causes: 1) The scale (calcium and magnesium deposits) blocks the spray jets after long-term use. 2) The problem is more prominent in areas with hard water.
Solutions: 1) Use a needle/toothpick to clear each blocked jet. 2) Soak the shower head in white vinegar for three hours, and then rinse after dissolving the scale. 3) For severe blockages, replace the shower head with an anti-scale model.
3. Leaks in hose or connections
Possible causes: 1) Improper installation leading to loose connections. 2) Aging or deforming rubber sealing ring. 3) Mismatched hose and faucet thread.
Solutions: 1) Turn off the water and re-tighten the connections. 2) Replace with a compatible rubber ring (available at hardware stores).
3) Choose a hose with compatible threads to avoid forced installation.
4. Unstable water temperature or sudden fluctuations
Possible causes: 1) Insufficient heater power (especially in winter). 2) Imbalance in water pressure of hot and cold water pipes. 3) Mixing valve malfunction.
Solutions: 1) Lower the shower water output to match the heater's heating speed. 2) Check the mixing valve, clean the internal scale, or replace the cartridge. 3) Contact property management personnel to adjust the water pressure balance.
